EA's Green Credibility

October 28, 2010

Since our founding, Electric Advisors has included green energy as a part of our business. We've already enabled several businesses in DC and Maryland to access utility-delivered green energy, and we've done the same for countless residential utility account holders.

Besides our direct business efforts, we're also supporting other companies and organizations in the green community, both locally and around the world. Here's four of our recent activities:

EA and Bethesda Green: Bethesda Green is an organization that helps area businesses and residents by building a dynamic model community for sustainable economic growth and living. EA recently donated $1,000 to Bethesda Green at its first annual gala.

EA and Greenavise: EA recently became a Retail/Showroom member of the
Greenavise community, which enables EA to utilize Greenavise's Silver Spring, MD space for product displays and presentations. EA is also becoming a larger part of the DC area's green community with its membership, by networking with Greenavise staff and other Greenavise members.

EA and Maryland Energy & Sustainability Coop: EA is now a supplier with the Maryland Energy and Sustainability Cooperative. The coop serves Maryland residents with their goals of going green and reducing energy, while at the same time building a green community. It hopes to go nationwide with its efforts as well.

EA's commitment to green is real and genuine. EA energy advisors are trained to assist you with your green-energy decisions, whether you're responsible for paying a commercial or residential utility account. When you choose to go "green" with your utilities at Electric Advisors, you don't need to install solar panels, or tap into geothermal, etc. When you purchase through us, you are directly buying green energy from our suppliers. And as with our standard packages, you don't have to change meters or wiring. Most important, you still call your local utility if you lose power, see a downed line, or smell gas.

In other words, green is easy with Electric Advisors. Contact us today for details.

The PJM Interconnection serves the Mid-Atlantic, as well as parts of the Midwest and Southern U.S.

As businesses start the budgeting process for 2025, electricity supply costs across the PJM Interconnection region are rising, driven largely by an increase in capacity charges. Capacity charges, which ensure enough power is available during peak demand, have seen a sharp uptick, leading to higher rates, especially in the DC and Maryland areas. Both residential and commercial customers are facing these increases, with supply prices potentially rising by as much as 20%, significantly impacting operational costs. However, there is still time to mitigate the coming increase in supply rates. From simple energy efficiency upgrades, such as LED lighting or smart thermostats, to longer-term projects like solar panel installations and power walls, businesses have a range of options to reduce their energy consumption and control costs. These strategies can offer significant savings over time and position companies for more sustainable energy use. We encourage you to talk with business owners and decision-makers in your network about these rising costs. This is a great time to introduce them to Electric Advisors, where we can help them navigate these changes and find ways to reduce their energy expenses. Your referrals can play a crucial role in helping those in your network become more competitive. Best,
