Exciting News From EA and The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington

August 30, 2022

We're teaming up to help local restaurants

Earlier this month, EA officially became an Endorsed Provider for the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington. We're incredibly grateful for this opportunity to deepen our relationship with RAMW and it's members, and especially to help our local restaurant community grow and thrive.

The following announcement was sent to RAMW's members on August 15th:

 "Dear RAMW Members,

We know that your bottom line is always top of mind as you also work hard to support your teams and give guests the best experience you can in a competitive market. Did you know that you could be saving money every month on your electric and natural gas?

RAMW has several key providers who support our industry, and we are excited to introduce you to our new Endorsed Provider, Electric Advisors, Inc. EA is an energy broker who will help you get your natural gas and electricity supply at a competitive rate. Shopping for a competitive energy supplier is a sure fire way to take control of your electricity and natural gas spending. When you shop, you have choices over rate, length of commitment, and the type of electricity you purchase.

From lower electric and gas supply rates to long term fixed contracts, Electric Advisors’ growing pool of suppliers are offering a variety of prices and products that will put you in control. We encourage you to take a few minutes to get in touch and learn more about savings you may be leaving on the table.

Though Electric Advisors may be a newly endorsed provider, the company has been a supportive and involved member of the RAMW community for over a decade. Russell Lacey, EA’s President, is a member of the RAMW Education Foundation Board of Directors helping us bolster culinary education and hospitality management training across our region, secure grants and scholarship funding, and more.

Whether you just need some advice on understanding energy choices, or you are ready to make a change and see the results, Russell and his team are there to help you navigate as partners to the RAMW community. Get in touch today!

The PJM Interconnection serves the Mid-Atlantic, as well as parts of the Midwest and Southern U.S.

As businesses start the budgeting process for 2025, electricity supply costs across the PJM Interconnection region are rising, driven largely by an increase in capacity charges. Capacity charges, which ensure enough power is available during peak demand, have seen a sharp uptick, leading to higher rates, especially in the DC and Maryland areas. Both residential and commercial customers are facing these increases, with supply prices potentially rising by as much as 20%, significantly impacting operational costs. However, there is still time to mitigate the coming increase in supply rates. From simple energy efficiency upgrades, such as LED lighting or smart thermostats, to longer-term projects like solar panel installations and power walls, businesses have a range of options to reduce their energy consumption and control costs. These strategies can offer significant savings over time and position companies for more sustainable energy use. We encourage you to talk with business owners and decision-makers in your network about these rising costs. This is a great time to introduce them to Electric Advisors, where we can help them navigate these changes and find ways to reduce their energy expenses. Your referrals can play a crucial role in helping those in your network become more competitive. Best,
