Coal Fueled Power Plants Closing Across the Country

As a nation, it appears that our conscious efforts towards sustainability and energy efficiency have been recognized. Since November of 2013, more than 5 gigawatts worth of coal based power plants have been scheduled for retirement. The majority of these plants are located in the eastern half of the United States, and are being closed down due to tougher environmental standards, and a decrease in energy demand.
